NOTICE

RACING MEMBERS

In the interests of rider safety the club committee have decided that riders participating

in CLUB Time Trial events must display a  RED FLASHING LIGHT on the rear of their cycle.

This ONLY applies to our own events although we recommend, as does the RTTC,

that they should be used in all events

Riders will only be allowed to ride our club events without a light up until the 19th. May 2011 so you have plenty of time to get one fitted.  The only exception will be for visitors who are unaware of our rule, however they will be made aware if they intend to ride further events.

Give Drivers the chance to see you.

Don't give them a chance not to.

2012 Olympic Road Races & Time Trials

This may seem a little early to think about attending these events but after checking a number of  camp sites in the Kingston-upon-Thames area without success, today, March 17th.2011,I eventually managed to book and pay a deposit for caravan space with the options of two or three more tents or caravan spaces within reasonable cycling distance of the key locations of the races. these spaces are at a premium and I am already getting enquiries, so if you are interested commit now and book.

The events I am covering are from 17th.July-2nd.Aug. and at the moment arrangements are flexible so if you wish to come contact me for further information.

MARSHALLING  FOR  CLUB  EVENTS

It was decided at an open meeting that in order to allow for safer

racing throughout the season a minimum number of marshals would

be required for each event and the event will only be run if the

marshals are available and in place. This  means that all riders in

these events will have to take a turn as a Marshall for at least once

in each of the following events.

This is now a club rule, so please remember, not enough marshals,

NO RACE.

10mls.   T.T.    C10/8

The turn will have Two marshals together with course signs and in addition on OPEN events  One marshal at the Three Tuns corner.

18mls.   T.T.   Circuit

This will have Six marshals, One at the Authorpe junction,

One at the crossroads, One at the walled garden turn,

One at Belleau top, and Two at South Thoresby junction.
